8TH DAY FALL - CD Review

The four piece band from Orange County, 8TH DAY FALL, opens their self titled demo CD with a skater rock power ballad called Secret Muse, about the three L's, love, lust, and loss. The second tune, 'Pass The Bones', is more political, and sets the two guitars apart with one taking the lead over the other playing rhythm. The third song asks the question 'Why should this be different?' as the singer talks to God, and shows the band stretching their musical boundaries by varying the song tempo several times smoothly. All the songs' vocals are clear although sometimes a bit too jagged but the production very good and it is mixed well. This CD is very listenable. - PT ROTHSCHILD
