Murrieta Crime: Woman robbed at home after leaving Pechanga Casino late at night
Murrieta, California - On 12/4/2008 at 330am, Officers from the Murrieta Police Department responded to the 27000 block of Post Oak Place after receiving a 911 call regarding a robbery at a residence. The reporting party stated she had been robbed at gunpoint in her garage after returning home from Pechanga Resort and Casino. Upon arrival, officers discovered the suspect(s) had fled in an older model 4 door sedan. An area check was unsuccessful.
The victim stated as she pulled into her garage a male suspect ran up to the driver’s door and opened it. The suspect pointed a black handgun at the victim and demanded her money. The victim was likely targeted because of her frequency at the Pechanga Casino. The victim, who was alone in the vehicle, received a minor injury to her hand during the struggle. An undetermined amount of cash was taken from the victim during the robbery.
The suspect is described as follows:
Hispanic male (20 - 25 years of age) 5′8″ 160 pounds wearing a black mask covering his face and head / black sweatshirt / dark pants carrying a black handgun.
The suspect ran from the garage and entered the passenger side of a waiting vehicle near the corner of Post Oak Place and East Murrieta Oaks Avenue. The driver’s description is unknown at this time. The vehicle fled the area towards Clinton Keith Road.
