Crime: Two Perris residents arrested after theft of gas range in new home development in Elsinore
Lake Elsinore, California - On November 10th, 2008, at about 11:15 am, officers from the Lake Elsinore Police Department responded to 19000 block of Parkwood Dr., Lake Elsinore, in response to a report of a residential burglary to a residence under construction. The location is a tract of new KB Homes, near the Skydive Elsinore complex off of Corydon Road on the south side of the lake.
During the investigation, officers learned that a gas range taken from the residence was equipped with a GPS tracking device. Representatives of KB Home were actively tracking the range which led officers to an address in the 1200 block of Johns Rd, Perris, off of Nuevo and the 215 freeway.
When officers arrived, numerous stolen appliances and a vehicle reported stolen out of Whittier were located at the residence. The recovered appliances were valued in excess of $15,000.00. The homeowner, identified as Ruben Molina, 40 years, was arrested and charged with 496 P.C. - Possession of Stolen Property and 666 P.C. - Theft with Priors. Maria Molina, 18 years, was also taken into custody at the location for an outstanding, no-bail arrest warrant. Both subjects were booked at the Southwest Detention Center.
