TONIGHT’S THE BIG NIGHT FOR CANDIDATES, ESPECIALLY LOCAL ONES

LOCAL POLITICS GOES HEAD TO HEAD WITH NATIONAL POLITICOS
Temecula, CA - Tonight marks the ‘do or die’ debate stage for John McCain, if you have read the web stories, but maybe what you haven’t read is that all the candidates running for city council in Temecula are also meeting for a debate at City Hall, tonight at 7PM. This is a way to meet all the new candidates, who have been profiled here, and the incumbents, of which only one has been covered so far, who still run the city.
You can go and hear what they all have to say about the state of the city, economics as they see them, and their vision of the future for the citizens living here. Not knowing the format, I can’t say whether anyone in the chamber audience will be able to ask questions, speak, or provide any input. However, being there is worth the effort because, at present, the whole country is teetering on the brink of economic failure of catastrophic proportions.
While whatever happens in Washington will, of course, affect us here sooner or later, it is the leadership and direction of council members on the local level that will impact your and mine life more intimately and a damn sight sooner. How the local issues are handled may determine whether we turn into a modern urban ghetto, complete with abandoned McMansions and boarded up businesses or not. So remember, you can read about who ‘won’ the debate in Nashville tomorrow but if you haven’t got a plane ticket to it, you might as well TiVo it and plop you buns at City Hall tonight where you may get the chance to directly influence your standard of living. In other words, Be There and Be Square! My name is PT Rothschild and I approve this message.
