August 12, 2008 by Bill Gould, Publisher.
I am thrilled to announce that the Full Value REVIEW will have THREE different reporters at this years Burning Man Festival. This will provide us a depth of coverage for you that will blow your mind. If you cant make it to this years event (like me), then this will be your best option.
Starting off the reporting team we have the first time Burner, PT Rothschild, who will be providing his quirky view of one of the world’s most quirky festivals. Doing a follow up to his 2006 report on that years festival is Matt Peirce, a fierce writer whose 2006 article is still in the top 20 of most read articles on our site. A new addition to the writing staff here at the Full Value REVIEW is Capitan Tuesday who attended the 2005 Burning Man Festival and will provide a dry, witty glimpse into the Art, Music and Parties that make the Black Rock Desert home at the end of every August.
The first articles will be coming up soon, the lead off article will be the debut of Capitan Tuesday here on the Full Value REVIEW. Stay Tuned and Stay Entertained - the Full Value REVIEW will provide you the goods!

Speaking of Business: Old Town Temecula’s ‘Cafe Daniel’ delivers the tasty goods
August 12, 2008 by Bill Gould, Publisher.
Old Town Temecula, California - I happened across Cafe Daniel while attending the Temecula Jazz Festival this year. The Full
Value REVIEW sponsored the Jazz Festival, I am sure many of you saw the page we dedicated to the event early this year. So because we sponsored it, we got a booth. We passed out a ton of free sunblock and lip balm for the great folks over at the EMWD. It was a good time.
I was feeling rather thirsty at about 3 in the afternoon, and since we had a show at the CRC that night as well, I knew darn well that I better get some coffee. As I started to walk to Starbucks I noticed a sign that said ‘Crepes - Coffee’. This had to be the spot.
I walked in, saw a variety of gelatos, crepes, coffee and pastries to choose from. I ordered what was the best damn cheese and berries danish I have ever had in my life. The thing practically melted in my mouth, in fact as I write this I am mad that I cant have one because I am at home and they are closed. I had a double shot of espresso over ice with soy milk, and it was perfect as well.
I had the good fortune of having a meeting at the Old Town Temecula Theater the following week so I made a point to stop in, I
would rather support great local businesses whenever possible. I had a moment to speak with John, who is the chef at Cafe Daniel. He introduced me to his family and showed me around his restaurant. His cafe has only been open for 1 year, so in the scheme of things it is rather new for Old Town. John has a storied history for a young man, having worked at the Ritz Carlton at Lake Las Vegas and the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. All of this is evident in the terrific flavors in all of the food they serve.
I sat down with John’s mother, Frieda Daniels, who immigrated to America from Germany in 1955. She told me of how she came to America: by way of General Patton’s Tank Division carrying her small town and their stuff across the border into what would become West Germany. She met a soldier, married and set off to America for a new life. Frieda comes from a family of High Wire Artists who still perform all across Europe. She said she is still able to walk across the wire to this day, although unfortunately she did not have one set up in the shop to demonstrate.
John
and Frieda’s grandson’s also operate the Bossle Hell Driver show in Europe, a wild and crazy stunt show featuring cars on two wheels doing fancy maneuvers and huge trucks crushing small cars. This is the sort of thing any good American would love, and particularly interesting because it is European. I guess this is a small world after all.
All of this brings me back to what makes this such a wonderful little cafe - great food, great service and a terrific family atmosphere. If you are in Old Town Temecula, be sure to make a stop by Cafe Daniel for a little taste of Europe via Las Vegas. I am sure glad I did.
