Soboba Indian Reservation, California - Sheriff Stan Sniff and representatives of the Soboba Band of Luiseno Indians signed a mediation agreement. This signing ceremony took place at the Soboba reservation. This Mediation Agreement was a result of meetings held on May 16 and 22 and June 4, 2008, between both parties on the Soboba Reservation. Four points were agreed upon, Communication, Critical Incident Response, Cross-Training, and Outreach and Planning.

Sheriff Stan Sniff said that this agreement is a great step forward for the Soboba Reservation and the surrounding communities. This should help reduce tensions throughout communities and raises the standard of dialogue.

This Mediation Agreement does not impede or limit the authority of the Sheriff and other law enforcement agencies in enforcing California law on Soboba and does not compromise officer safety decisions, tactical deployment issues or crime scene control.

This Mediation Agreement is a tribute to the Soboba leadership in assuming its leadership role and responsibilities as a key community within Riverside County.

Soboba Reservación India, California - Stan Sheriff olfatear y representantes de la banda Soboba de luiseño indios firmaron un acuerdo de mediación. Esta ceremonia de firma tuvo lugar en el Soboba reserva.

Este acuerdo de mediación es el resultado de las reuniones celebradas el 16 de mayo y 22 y 4 de junio de 2008, entre ambas partes en el Soboba de reserva. Cuatro puntos fueron acordados, Comunicación, Respuesta a Incidentes Críticos, Cruz-Capacitación, y Difusión y Planificación.

Sniff Stan Sheriff dice que este acuerdo es un gran paso adelante para el Soboba de reserva y las comunidades circundantes. Esto debería ayudar a reducir las tensiones en toda las comunidades y eleve los niveles de diálogo.

Este acuerdo de mediación no obstaculizar o limitar la autoridad del Sheriff y otros organismos encargados de hacer cumplir la ley en la aplicación de la ley de California en Soboba y no ponga en peligro la seguridad oficial de las decisiones, las cuestiones tácticas de despliegue o de control de la escena del crimen.

Sage, California - A brush fire burned about 10 acres this evening near Sage and Benton roads. The fire briefly threatened some homes east of Benton Road, however the 290 firefighters and 6 water droppers kept the fire contained to only 10 acres. As of 9pm the fire was contained with a few fire crews on site to make sure no flare-up’s occurred. Local residents might experience a little slowing on Benton road due to fire engines on the fire perimeter.

Sage, California - Un cepillo de fuego quemaron alrededor de 10 acres de esta noche cerca de Sage Benton y carreteras. El fuego amenazó brevemente algunas casas al este de Benton Road, no obstante los 290 bomberos y 6 de agua droppers mantiene el fuego que figura a sólo 10 acres.
