Mass. Rep. Barney Frank says ‘Legalize Pot’ in video on CNN
July 30, 2008 by Lance Bugle.
Hello, I am a new contributer to the Full Value Review and my name is Lance Bugle. I will be reporting on local and national issues. My first post here is a commentary on a remarkable statement for an elected person. In a move that millions of Americans will love, an actual elected official in the good ol USA, Mr Barney Frank (he reps the state of Massachusetts) said that it is not the governments business to tell you what to do in your leisure time. He said that people should have the freedom to smoke or drink what we want (freedom - what’s that? I can hardly remember freedom since bush destroyed our countries freedoms after 9/11).
When I watched the video I almost fell out of my chair, it was the most amazing thing I have ever seen come from the mouth of a respected state representative. Three cheers to Barney Frank for his courage and may he lead our country to a new era of freedom. I have posted a link below so you can enjoy the video for yourself…ENJOY.

Dinner, Dancing and Drama: The Temecula Mayor’s Ball for The Arts
July 28, 2008 by Bill Gould, Publisher.
Personally this event is close to me, as I have been working with The Arts Council of Temecula for many years now. This is the third Mayor’s Ball I have had the pleasure of working on, and each year it is fun. The event is great with some first class entertainment and if you have the extra money you should come and support a wonderful organization like the Arts Council. Below is the press release they sent out, if your interested in buying a table or sponsoring the event, all the contact info is at the bottom.
- Bill

This year’s celebration is going to be one of the best ever! All tables will have a movie theme and patrons can dress in the theme or just enjoy those around them who do so. Various table themes include Gone With The Wind, The Great Gatsby, Star Wars, and The Wizard of Oz. Or, get a group of 10 friends together and name your own table theme. The possibilities are endless! Local costumers have agreed to give all Celebration attendees a discount on any costume rentals in support of the fundraising cause. We also have local costumers who will help you design and create your own to keep. For contact information, ask the Arts Council when you purchase your event tickets.
Master of Ceremonies Gene Wunderlich will preside over this glittering event along with your host, Mayor Mike Naggar. “For nearly 20 years, the Mayor’s Ball has offered opportunities to meet and mingle with civic and community leaders and other supporters of arts in the Valley while also providing critical funds for the Arts Council and its programs which benefit ALL arts organizations in our community. I encourage everyone to come out and ‘be a star’ on September 6th,” noted Mayor Naggar. And don’t forget to bring your checkbook for the unique silent/live auction items available.
A feature highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the Fourth Annual Temecula Valley Lifetime Achievement Award for Contribution to the Arts to be presented to none other than our very own Patti Drew, confirmed Sheila Havens Ryle, President of the Arts Council. “We established this award four years ago in order to thank and honor those who have given selflessly of their time and energy to passionately promote excellence in the arts. The individuals honored by this award do not “make a living” in the Arts. They “make a difference!” I cannot think of a more deserving individual than Patty and I am delighted that we can recognize her many years of devotion and dedication to the arts with this award” stated Sheila Ryle, Chair of the Evening. Past award recipients include Beverly Stevenson, Jim and Dorothy Meyler and Eve Craig.
Tickets are $100 per person and all proceeds benefit Arts Council programs that support the display and performance of the arts, provide arts programs that offer hope and promise for at-risk youth, and re-grant endowment monies to Valley arts groups to promote and help ensure the success of their programs.
For information about corporate tables and sponsorships, costuming resources, or to donate to the auction, please contact the Arts Council at 951.695.2787 or email: info@artsinthevalley.org.

Fire in Menifee area damages three buildings, burns 4 acres; hate graffiti found nearby | Incendios en zona de daños Menifee tres edificios, quema 4 hectáreas; odio graffiti encontrado cerca
July 17, 2008 by Bill Gould, Publisher.
Menifee, California - A vegetation fire in the Romoland area of the new City of Menifee burned about 4 acres and
damaged 3 buildings according to reports by the Riverside County Fire Department. The fire broke out at about 530pm near the intersection of Patelli Way and Malone Ave (click here for a map) at the far northwest corner of Menifee.
I was on the scene within minutes of the fire starting and the fire had already engulfed what looked like a home, although it was listed as an ‘out building’ in the Fire Department press release. There was a lot of local neighborhood people milling around looking at the fire, as well as some local residents nearest the fire apparently packing up and leaving the area in fear of their houses burning down.
According to the Fire Department the fire is ‘under investigation’. At 845pm there had been a total of 8 engines and 25 firefighters battling the blaze. I addition to the outbuilding burning, 2 barns had burned, however no estimates of monetary losses were available. Having seen the damage I would guess it was over $100,000 in damage to the buildings and adjacent properties.
One disturbing thing I found in the area of the fire was swastikas spray painted onto a white trailer next to the fire. There was also a ‘SWP’ in white spray paint on a block wall right around the corner, as seen in this picture. I do know from a Google search that ‘SWP’ stands for ‘Supreme White Power’ and is often tagged in white paint by white supremacists who want to further spread their ideology.
I would hate to think that this fire was a result of a hate group, however anything is possible. If you know of any gang activity or hate groups operating in the area and would like to provide anonymous information, email us at info@fullvaluereview.com so that we can update the story and better inform our readers.
