Temecula, California - On Wednesday, June 25, 2008, Officer Patricia Horn of the Temecula Police Department investigated a burglary that occurred at a storage facility in the 44000 block of Pechanga Parkway in Temecula. Several people had reported that some of their recently stolen property was located in another shed within the facility.
The investigation led to the discovery of at least 100 stolen items concealed in Jason Lillard’s storage unit and surveillance video was recovered documenting Lillard’s suspicious activities over the last several weeks. Officers assigned to the investigation also conducted a search of Lillard’s home in the 31000 block Haute Court in Winchester and recovered controlled substances and another 50 items of stolen property, which included tools, computers, and appliances likely worth thousands of dollars. A thorough review of recent theft cases will be conducted to return property to every possible victim.
Jason Thomas Lillard, age 35, was arrested and booked at the Southwest Detention Center. The investigation is continuing and anyone with information is encouraged to contact Officer Horn at (951) 696-3000.
