Experience counts in the new City of Menifee as Edgerton and Kuenzi receive most votes

Menifee, California - Seasoned veteran of the Long Beach City Council, Wallace Edgerton, garnered the most votes in a highly contested race for the first City Council of the new City of Menifee. At 2:30am and 100% precincts reporting, Darcy Kuenzi, Fred Twyman, Scott Mann and John Denver appear to have won a seat on the Council as well.


According to the results tonight, future council members will be selected By Districts like Riverside, rather than At Large as other neighboring cities like Murrieta are. Local residents also selected the name ‘Menifee’ for the new city that will incorporate officially on October 1.
