Hillary might have said a dumb thing…
… but I have to disagree with PT Rothschild’s assertion that she might have insinuated Obama’s assignation.
Temecula, California - I will admit, I am a Hillary supporter, and have been since the beginning of her campaign for the Democratic Nomination. I believe that she would be the better president based on her having more experience on the world stage and the fact that I think she has a better chance of beating John McCain in the fall based on her strong showing in many key states. It is many of these states that hold the key to the 270 electoral college votes needed to win the Presidency.
I don’t think that any of that really matters in regaurds to the comments made by Hillary. She was pointing out, in a not well received wording, that you never know what can happen. Her quitting before the race is over is like in baseball when the batter hits directly to the shortstop and jogs slowly to first base, assuming he will be thrown out by the shortstop. It is lazy and shows lack of fight, and one thing Hillary Clinton has plenty of is fight. Sometimes in life your opponent drops the ball, or overthrows and I believe that Hillary is running through, hustling to first base in hopes she can get there before the ball, or in case of an error. In the end, if she does ‘ground out’ - I think she is a good sport and will support the Democratic home team and rally her troops to make sure an Obama victory is a reality in November.

I’m an Obama supporter since he started his campaign for President and I have to say Hiliary’s comment wasn’t saying you never know what could happen, she was trying to get across that this isn’t the first Democratic primary to ever go into June and the two most famous being her husbands win in 92 and the Kennedy-McGovern primary of 68. She wasn’t saying anyone was going to be assinated just that this wasn’t the first long race ever. I had no issue with the comment and thought it was heavily overblown by the media. But with Obama 40-80 delegates away from winning the nod(the number depends on what they do with Florida and Michigans primarys Saturday) I have no issue with her sticking around till she’s done.
