FOLKS, THIS TRIAL HAS ALLAH’S KARMA WRITTEN ALL OVER IT!
French Valley, CA – Some people wonder why I like living here so much, but it’s hard to resist the allure of being at the center of the ‘underground’ universe. At this very moment (depending on when you read this) a Muslim man is being put on trial for being a Muslim. And this trial is occurring without most of the local Muslim community even being aware of it, as is my understanding. Put up on torture charges is one Mansa Musa Muhummed (55, and who is no kin to Barack Obama), and he faces 7 life sentences. Why? Because he issued homegrown corporal punishment, made his children pray 5 times a day (or else), made them memorize prayers, and had three wives on his place, all things allowed by his faith, much like a Rasta is allowed to smoke weed as part of his faith. Wife No.2, Laura Cowan, wrote a letter dated March 20, 1999 to her social worker and the fact that it took almost 10 years for this trial to develop shows the hushed tone. At the heart of this issue is the constitutionality of CHURCH vs. STATE for all Muslims. Mansa did not force his 13 year old daughters to marry 50 year old men. Mansa did not participate in the rape-marriage of any of them. He may have been overly strict but he was nowhere in the same ballpark as the FLDS religion, so why does he face punishment sevenfold over that church’s religious justice? If he is convicted, what precedence does this set for other area Muslims and what image to those outside of the Muslim faith? Are any of the other brothers going to his aid, and if he stands this trial alone, how will Allah judge or punish the errant elders? More on this story from the ‘center of the underground universe’ as it develops.
