Creepy man bothers children in Murrieta, help sought in finding him

Murrieta, California - On 3/11/2008 Officers received a call of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Saint Michel Lane and Torrey Pines. The vehicle was last seen in the area 1 hour earlier. The driver, identified as a white male, 30 - 40 years old with a bald head and no facial hair, solicitated a child in the area. The male subject pulled to the curb and asked the child if she wanted to see his dog. When seen by the child’s parent and confronted, the male subject left the area.
This is the second call in this area in the last two days. On 3/10/2008, the Murrieta Police Department investigated a similar incident at 1546 hours near Willow Crest and Date. Willow Crest and Date is approximately 1 mile from Torrey Pines and Saint Michel. In the second incident, a white male, 30 - 40 years old with a grey beanie and no facial hair, drove up to a child and asked the child to get into his car. The child ran home and reported the incident to his parents.

Incident #1 3/11/2008 early 90’s primer grey mustang convertible with white colored top (top up)
Incident #2 3/10/2008 newer model red vehicle - import
Parents and the community are reminded to be vigilant with their children. Incidents of this nature should be reported to the Police Department immediately.

Man beaten in Murrieta, Wildomar man arrested

Murrieta, California - On Tuesday, 3/11/08, at 1253pm, Murrieta Police Officers responded to a fight call at Kalmia Street and Madison Avenue. Prior to arriving on scene, officers received information that one man had left east on Kalmia/California Oaks Road in a silver colored Camry. Officer Mike Jacob stopped the Camry on California Oaks Road prior to Jackson Avenue and detained the driver, Brandon R. Brown, 18 of Wildomar.
Other officers including Murrieta Fire responded to the intersection where the fight occurred and found an off-duty nurse rendering aid to an unconscious male. Numerous witnesses reported seeing Brown exit his car at the stop light and punch the driver of another stopped vehicle through his open window. Brown continued his attack and dragged the victim from his car punching him in the head. Brown continued punching and kicking the victim while he lay on the ground in an apparent unconscious state.
The victim was transported to Inland Valley Medical Center by AMR Ambulance. He was being treated for non- life threatening injuries. The investigation is continuing as to why the assault took place. Brown was booked at Southwest Detention Center for assault likely to cause great bodily injury.
