NOT DONE YET - CUPPY’S BREWS ON TILL WEDNESDAY
March 10, 2008 by PT Rothschild.
JOIN THE FUN - JOIN THE HISTORY - JOIN THE MEMORY FOR THREE MORE DAYS
Murrieta, CA - Cuppy’s Coffee and More will still be operating at least until the middle of the week, according to the latest information. However with the citation for operation without the coveted ’special use permit’ still not even entered into the system for payment, Owner Johnny could see the ‘profiling’ on the wall. “You would think that being located next to Orange County and just above San Diego, the (people) here could see how this area is a natural stagecoach stop for bands. Also I can’t believe how ’small town’ things are here. Why wouldn’t any town want a place for kids 14-20 to go to that’s a non-alcoholic environment where they can hear their friends and their favorite bands play for cheap?” questioned the Cuppy’s owner. “We will be open again. (Corporate) Cuppy’s is behind us, but we’re just not going to try anything else in this town.”
However, for those who remember and for those who’ve heard about Cuppy’s, there are still a few days left to taste the best sandwiches and coffee products made in the valley. For first timers, you may actually see or meet one of the last few ’scene’ persons still around that you may have read about here. AND remember Wednesday is the last scheduled business day of operation in the spot that started it all now that Madlins is a shell and a distant dusty memory. Stop by and say ‘Hi’ before the last ‘Good-Bye’.
