Lake Elsinore, California - On January 25, 2008, at 1131am, Deputies from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station responded to the 15000 block of Grand Ave., Lake Elsinore in reference to a suspicious circumstance incident.Upon arrival, the Deputies located a deceased male in a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. Investigators from the Lake Elsinore Station and the Central Homicide Unit responded to the scene to assume the investigation.

Two arrests have been made in the course of the investigation. Jeffery Scott Klinefelter (aged 42) a resident of Lakeland Village was arrested for 187 P.C. - Homicide, and a weapons violation. Shari Lynn Stokes (aged 46) of Corona was arrested for 32 P.C. - Conspiracy. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
