Murrieta teen arrested after selling pot at skate park

Murrieta, California - On Monday, 12/31/07, at 1226pm, Murrieta Police Officer Jennifer Metoyer responded to the Skate Park at 40550 California Oaks Road in reference to a man possibly selling drugs from his back pack. Officer Metoyer detained a man, Brandon Hall, 18 of Murrieta, who matched the description.
A subsequent search revealed 4.7 grams of marijuana, an electronic scale and $180.00. Further investigation determined that Hall had previously sold marijuana near the location. He was arrested and transported to Southwest Detention Center.

Two women arrested after theft at Murrieta Kohls

Murrieta, California - On Monday, 12/31/07, at 239pm, Murrieta Police Officers responded to a report of a robbery at Kohl’s. Prior to arriving on scene, officers were told that the robbers had left in a maroon Toyota Tundra pick-up headed west bound on Juniper from the Lowe’s Store.
Officers found the truck going north on Jefferson Avenue and a high risk stop was conducted across from the police station. Two female adults, Vanessa Lujan, 20, of Compton and Erika Barragan, 20, of Lake Elsinore were detained and later arrested on various charges. A six month old boy, the son of Lujan, was found unrestrained in the pickup, leading to a charge of child endangerment against Lujan.
The investigaton revealed that the two women had went to the store together and had stolen over $720.00 in clothing merchandise and concealed the merchandise on their person and in the baby carriage with the boy. Loss Prevention Agents attempted to detain the women and a struggle ensued. The women escaped detention and left in the Tundra.
Both women were booked at Southwest Detention Center. The boy was released to the custody of a family member.
