Murrieta, California - On 12/07/07 at 238pm, officers from the Murrieta Police Department responded to Chili’s restaurant located at 41070 California Oaks Road reference a female customer attempting to purchase a $20 gift card with a fictitious $100 bill. The employee noticed the $100 bill was obviously fake and immediately notified the police while the female waited for her change.

Officers arrived on scene and contacted the female (Linda Heigle, 42 of Temecula), and her daughter (Nicole Heigle, 22), who was waiting for her mother in Chili’s parking lot.

Nicole Heigle is also known as La’Rin or Larin Lane, and adult film star living in Woodland Hills, California. According to various internet posts and blogger sites, La’Rin Lane is new to the porn business and recently appeared on an internet show with her mother. According to the blog site, My Young Kinky Wife, Linda Heigle ‘wanted to get into porn’ and appeared on the show on November 16 2007 with her daughter.

It should also be noted during the past several weeks officers had responded to a number of businesses throughout Murrieta regarding a female suspect passing fictitious $100 bills. The mother and daughter matched the suspects’ description of the past thefts. Officers obtained consent to search the parked vehicle. During the search they located several more fictitious $100 bills and a receipt dated 12/07/07 to the Total Hair Peace located at 40605 California Oaks Road #D-3.

Officers responded to the Total Hair Peace and showed the owner the receipt. It was determined a female customer paid with a $100 bill to purchase a ladies wig. The owner retrieved the single $100 bill from the register and upon further examination the bill was deemed fake. The owner and officer reviewed a video surveillance of the transaction and the officer positively identified the person who purchased the wig with the fake $100 bill as Linda Heigle.

Officers subsequently placed Linda and Nicole under arrest for passing a fictitious bill. Upon booking the suspect officers discovered that Linda was wearing the wig she purchased a few hours earlier when she entered Chili’s to pass the fake bill.

The United States Secret Service examined the fictitious $100 bills and confirmed they were fake. Officers are continuing to contact victim businesses. We encourage businesses owners to be alert to counterfeit currency and to immediately notify the Murrieta Police Department at 951-304-2677.
