Temecula, California - On Monday, December 03, 2007 about 4:16 AM, officers from the Temecula Police Department were dispatched to a man down call at the 42000 block of Stonewood Road, City of Temecula. Officers arrived within minutes and located a Hispanic male in his thirties lying on a parking lot and suffering from an apparent gun shot wound. The male was transported to a local hospital and later succumbed to his injury. He was pronounced deceased about 4:58 AM.


Detectives from the Temecula Police Department and Investigators from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation. The preliminary investigation revealed the subject was a victim of a homicide. The cause of death will be determined pending the completion of an autopsy.

The victim’s identity is being withheld until positive identification and proper notifications are made.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit Investigator Brian Reno at 951-955-2777 or the Temecula Police Department’s Detective’s Unit at 951-696-3000.
