Murrieta man and teenage nephew arrested for selling pot


Murrieta, California - On Thursday, 11-15-07, at about 620pm, Detectives with the Murrieta Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team and the Patrol Division conducted a probation search at a residence located in the 24800 block of Walnut Creek Circle. Officers found approximately 5.2 pounds of Marijuana packaged in various size baggies. Additional items consistent with the Marijuana sales were also found at the residence. The 5.2 pounds of Marijuana was high grade and had a street value of approximately $10,000.

The investigation led to the arrest of a 16 year old male and his 37 year old uncle, Sergio Sanchez. Both males live at the Murrieta residence. The 16 year old male was released to his mother, pending a Marijuana Sales charge with the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office. Sergio Sanchez was booked at the South West Detention Center for Marijuana Sales and Child Endangerment. Child Protective Services was contacted and will be conducting a follow-up investigation.
