SCENE BRISTLES WITH AUDITIONS AND PARTIES


Murrieta, CA – Mark your calendars and set your watches for Tuesday 10/23 and be at the Murrieta Pizza & Brewing Company, 6PM, to catch the next installment of VALLEY IDOL, 101.3 KATY’s version of American Idol, this week to feature local talent and singer, Keirah Robbins. Long time open mike fans may recall when Keirah first appeared and sang onstage back in the Java Jo’z days. Lately Keirah has been warming up her windpipes doing some vocal jams with a couple of bands around the valley, working part-time at Cloud 9 Coffee, and snapping music pics freelance, see ‘Neighborhood Music Fest’. She is urging all her friends and acquaintances to come out and cheer her on.

Another Cloud 9 Coffee personality who has already sang and moved on to the finals in the VALLEY IDOL auditions is Jeney Kingsbury (one half of the duo KEENWILD) who clinched it on October 16th and will sing again in the competition on November 13th. For a list of winners so far, go here.

Although there are at least 5, count ‘em, 5 Halloween parties going on around the valley this weekend, the buzz on the scene is about the ‘heart-stopping’, bustier popping, apple bopping, nine band bash at scenester Nikki Mouse’s bonfire picnic costume party. Nikki seen here in a pirate hat can usually be found out front at Cuppy’s being the ‘door girl’ when she is not attending college, doing homework, working at a local pizza factory in French Valley, or being scene in the local nightlife in her white convertible Mustang. Although several more bands and DJ’s have been rumored to make an appearance at the shindig, here are the bands scheduled to play at press time:
