Soboba Casino robbery suspect arrested, 1.3 million in cash recovered

Soboba Casino, California - Riverside Sheriff Bob Doyle announced the arrest of Rolando Luda Ramos, 25, a Soboba Casino surveillance technician. Ramos is believed to have planned and executed last week’s robbery of Soboba Casino. During which overRolando Ramos 1.5 million in cash was reported stolen.

“Our team of investigators did a remarkable job of tracking Ramos and those who assisted him in this robbery. Ramos is currently held without bail at our Southwest Detention Center. We are charging him with robbery, kidnapping, and false imprisonment. To date we have recovered approximately 1.3 of the 1.5 million dollars taken at gun point by Ramos. We are actively working leads to recover additional evidence and as much of the outstanding balance as possible.”, said Sheriff Bob Doyle.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department wishes to thank the Fontana Police Department, the Ontario Police Department, the Office of the Riverside County District Attorney, the Office of the Attorney General and Department of Justice for their outstanding support and assistance, which resulted in the arrest of Rolando Luda Ramos at a hotel near Los Angeles International Airport at 3:00 am on August 4, 2007.

Attorney General Brown praised the officers involved and said, “These officers demonstrated incredible ingenuity in tracking down Ramos and taking him into custody. The suspect apparently used knowledge from his work at the casino to plot the robbery. Our D.O.J. Special Investigations Unit joined the Sheriff’s Department in providing the rapid response that made the arrest possible.”

Twin Pines man killed, suspect arrested

Twin Pines, California - On Sunday, August 05, 2007 about 1012 A.M. Deputies from the Cabazon Station were dispatched to the area of Twin Pines Road cross of Valley Hi Drive, in the unincorporated area of Twin Pines, reference a possible physical altercation involving two adult males.

Deputies arrived at the scene at 10:27 A.M. and were notified by an adult female that here husband, Gordon Nye Frank Jr. (68 years old), had been involved in a fight with another male adult identified as Ty Reddish (27 years old).

Mr. Frank was found at his home in the 16700 block of Valley Hi Drive, unresponsive. Personnel from the Fire Department rendered medical aid to Mr. Frank, however he succumbed to his injuries.

Based on the information gathered at the crime scene, Ty Reddish was arrested in conjunction with the investigation. The case will be forwarded to the Riverside County District Attorney’s for review and filing of charges against Mr. Reddish for his involvement in Mr. Frank’s death.

Man arrested for lewd acts with 12 year old girl in Norco Target parking lot

Norco, California - On Friday, August 03, 2007, at approximately 7:30 p.m., deputies from the Norco Sheriff’s Station were dispatched Marc Garciato the Target Shopping Center, 1290 Hamner, Norco, reference a reported Child Molestation. On arrival deputies learned that a 12-year-old female had been inappropriately touched while in the parking lot of the business. The child’s mother had confronted the suspect who fled the location in a white Honda.

On Saturday, August 04, 2007, at approximately 8:00 p.m., deputies detained Marc Joseph Garcia, 27 years, of Corona. At the conclusion of their investigation, Garcia, a registered sex offender, was arrested. He was later booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for 288(a) PC Lewd or Lascivious Acts with a Child, 1203.2 PC Violation of Probation, 647.6(a) PC Annoying or Molesting a Child Under 18 years of age, and 243.4 PC Sexual Battery.
