Murrieta Doctor arrested for issuing unlawful prescriptions, held on no-bail warrant

Murrieta, California - On July 24, 2007 at 815am, Murrieta physician and psychiatrist Dr. Joel Stanley Dreyer, 69 years old of Murrieta, was taken into custody at his home in the 38000 block of Pinnacle Ct., Murrieta, for multiple counts of unlawfully prescribing controlled substances to persons in exchange for cash. His Murrieta home and Temecula office in the 41700 block of Enterprise Cir North were simultaneously served with search warrants.The investigation into Dr. Dreyer’s unethical practices began several years ago after several area pharmacies began collectively noticed Dr. Dreyer’s patient’s appeared to be young and healthy but were prescribed highly addictive controlled substances such as Oxycontin, Vicodin and Xanex. Many of the local pharmacies refused to fill prescriptions written by Dr. Dreyer and some notified the Drug Enforcement Administration and local law enforcement agencies of their suspicions.

PEOPLE FOR THE FREEDOM OF MUSIC AND ARTS TO MEET AT THE VAULT

F.O.M.A.A. ORGANIZES FOR 1ST PUBLIC MEETING

Temecula, Ca –When the city recently tried to ramrod a noise ordinance that would effectively put an end to in-home band practices through committee, a group was formed made up of concerned artists and business owners to promote freedom in the arts, and music in particular. The group, Freedom Of Music And Art or FOMAA (‘foam-ma’), formed in order to study the proposed ordinance and its vague wording. It was determined that as the noise ordinance stands, it would give the right for any one person to be able to control a whole neighborhood by being a NIMBY. That means the most conservative right-wing person on your block, in a square block area, could dictate how and what you listen to through law. Your right would be to shut up.
