T-TOWN COMMISSION MUFFLES NOISE ORDINANCE
Temecula, California – In a surprisingly speedy resolution to the city’s Planning Commission drawn up by Maryann Edwards and presented at last evening’s Commission meeting by Emery Papp, a senior planner with a soft tone of voice, the Commission articulated many objections to the proposed noise ordinance chapter 9.20 addition which would effectively clamp down on private homeowners’ construction projects, pets, and band members who practice at home. Commission opponents pointed out that a statewide noise ordinance already exists which covers the whole state, including Temecula, and a noise ordinance for the city itself also is on the books based on the County of Riverside ordanaces adopted when the city incorporated.

No band practice in Temecula? (update!!)
June 7, 2007 by Bill Gould, Publisher.
Temecula, California -
**Update - the planning commision put this off for 60 days to consider feedback from the community. We need to tell them what we need, and that is the freedom to play music in our homes at hours and sound levels that are agreeable to the majority of the city. We here at the Full Value REVIEW encourage every one to use the links provided below to contact the city council and tell them your thoughts on the issue.

The City of Temecula planning commision is considering a BAN on all amplified music, meaning that if it is approved; all band practices, no matter what time of day they occur, would be illegal - as soon as your neighbor chooses to call the cops! The city would still allow construction at 6:30am - but not amplified music at all, at any time - on public or PRIVATE property. This needs to be stopped so that people in bands can practice and not face the fines and harassment that will become common if this code is approved.
