Police Scanner: Officer involved shooting in Temecula, suspect on the loose

Temecula, California - ***UPDATE*** A felony warrant has been issued for the arrest of Reuel Earl Westfall. Westfall is a Parolee at Large and considered to be dangerous.

We are requesting the public’s assistance in locating Westfall. Anyone with information regarding this incident or the whereabouts of Westfall is asked to contact the Central Homicide Unit at (760) 836-1632 or the Temecula Police Department at (951) 696-3000.

On June 25, 2007, about 9:09 AM, an officer from the Temecula Police Department was investigating a report of a fraud that was committed near Winchester Road and Ynez Road, in the Palm Plaza.During his investigation, the officer was able to obtain a description and license plate of the suspect’s vehicle, which he confirmed to be reported stolen from Orange County. The officer then searched the Palm Plaza area and located the suspect’s white Ford Expedition parked in the parking lot on the Northwest corner of Overland Drive and Ynez Road, in front of K-Mart.

A MUSICAL OASIS BETWEEN THE CITIES OF LA AND SD: WHY THE T-TOWN SCENE IS SO IMPORTANT

Temecula, CA – As a witness to the birth of a ‘scene’ here in T-town, the recent outbreak of the new music culture happening here, as lately seen by the Link’s Hip-Hop Workshop featuring LA’s DJ Wise and Power106 battle champion, Hawthorne’s own RedCloud (7/29 @ Temeku Theatre #7 FREE show), and the growing list of restaurants in the area presenting live music, only proves what I’ve known for a long while. This area which lies between San Diego and Los Angeles/Hollywood has a raw energy that is conducive to making music as well as listening to it. For years wannabe footstompers and line dancers have trudged down from Beverly Hills to T-town’s The Stampede to work up a sweat Richard Simmons would be proud of. Why come down here when so much entertainment is at hand up in LA.

Explosive Issue: Homemade Bomb found near Hwy 79 Wal-Mart in Temecula

Temecula, California - On Thursday, June 28, 2007, at about 11:23 AM, the Temecula Police Department responded to a call of a suspicious device located behind a building at Apis Rd. and Wolf Store Rd., near Wal-Mart and Henrys Market in the City of Temecula.

Officers arrived at the scene and located a small cylinder-shaped item with duct tape around it. A safety perimeter was established and the Riverside County Sheriff’s Hazardous Device Team responded. The Hazardous Device Team was able to render the device safe. During the investigation, the device was determined to be a homemade explosive.

The Temecula Police Department will be investigating this incident and would like to find the person responsible for this homemade item. Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to call detectives at the Temecula Police Department at (951) 696-3000.
