Temecula Music Fest 2007: A Preview
April 11, 2007 by PT Rothschild.
Temecula, California - If it’s May, then it’s time for the second annual TEMECULA MUSIC FEST here in T-town, brought to you by Full Value Entertainment, Chipotle Mexican Grill and the Inland Empire Weekly, among others. Besides presenting bands that we are fans of like PANIMA, THE RAINMAN SUITE, PEACHCAKE, and ANIMO (formely DORK), to name just a few, the FVE ‘Battle of the Bands’ generated new fan favs like SLIM CHANCES, BREMAN CT, and AMERICAN HITMEN, while perennial bands like SPUTTER DOLL and YOUINSERIES (formerly BROWN EYED DECEPTION) will also swing back through to refresh the fans’ memories of past years’ performances.
So with Temecula’s vast array of weekend festivals which feature specific music genres like the Bluegrass Festival, or the familiar notes of a song coming from a cover band surrounded by hot rods, what is it that makes the TMF sound a different chord? The answer is a double clef of no alcohol and original music variety. For three days almost every type of ‘new’ and alternative rock music is performed in an all-family/all ages venue setting by bands you know, bands you’ve heard about, and bands you will want to know about. The brainchild of local music impresarios Bill Gould and Jeney Kingsbury of Full Value Entertainment and the natural expansion of the ‘all ages’ local music show theme, this year will feature online ticket buying and seat selection for the Friday night (May 18th) show at the Old Town (available for purchase here).
Line-up for Friday May 18 is:
- MIDNIGHT DANCE CRAZE – perfect for a theatre environment.
- DRYSDALE – festival veterans and local fan favs.

NEW T-TOWN MEGA BEVERAGE MART IS A MOE (SZYSLAK) KIND OF PLACE
April 11, 2007 by PT Rothschild.
BARNEY GUMBLE SLEPT HERE…
Temecula, CA - Or he would if he lived over by Nicolas Road and Winchester, the location of a new neighborhood shopping complex featuring a Rite Aid (open), LA Fitness (open), and the biggest, baddest beverage shop this side of St. Louis, appropriately called BevMo! Why even the mascot wears a crown of suds, and not the Ivory Snow kind either. Opened only about two weeks, this place is like is the ‘Food-For-Less’ of all things fluid, frothy, and foamy. It’s also the ‘WinCo’ of whiskey. BevMo! stands for ‘beverages and more’. Do they ever have the beverages? Thousands of people in this valley have moved here from other places, other states. Remember a favorite soda, or pop, or soda pop (it depends where you are from as to which label you place on carbonated non-alcoholic beverages) from your childhood? Well BevMo! probably carries it or can get it for you. I’m talking they have Sea Dog Root Beer, Jack Black’s Dead Red Root Beer, Capt Eli’s Root Beer, Fitz’s Grape Pop, Moxie Blue Cream, Love Potion #69, Cock ‘n Bull Ginger Ale, Soho Vanilla Cream, all the usual brands from your local grocer around here, and probably at least 50 other brands you’ve never ever heard of.
