Smashing Pumpkins announce 6th album release

Chicago - The Smashing Pumpkins have announced thier long awaited 6th album, ‘Zeitgeist’, due out July 7, 2007. The announcement was made this morning by BC (Billy Corgan) on the Smashing Pumpkins myspace page. Also listed are a handful of show dates, mostly large rock festivals, in Europe for this summer. This will be the band’s first new album since 2000’s Machina. Check back for more information.
