INVISIBLE CHILDREN UPDATE FOR T-TOWN

TVHS LAUNCHES IC CLUB PROJECT
Temecula, CA - While Homer’s ‘war is old men talking and young men dying’ statement is true but depressing, hope for Man has been offered in the passage, ‘the youth are the future’ (to a better tomorrow). It is therefore of the utmost importance that this ‘future’ be protected. God showed this principle when an Angel was sent to notify pregnant Mary and Joseph, her mate, to ‘catch the first thing smoking’ out of Israel. To the detriment of modern Man, a rebel ‘war’ has been going on for 20 years that is a travesty to this divine doctrine. From the country that had a dictator who made Hitler seem like Mr. Rogers, comes a war against children of the Acholi tribe by a group called ‘The Lord’s Army’. Added to this satanic mix is the government’s use of HIV infected soldiers to guard (and rape girls as young as 10) the tribes that have been placed in camps for their ‘protection’ (one of the reasons for the rebels’ war).
To show that God is watching, into this land of black, dusty faces, Divine Providence sent three young, clean white faces from San Diego. I’m always amazed more people don’t see the Divine Irony in this situation, but I digress. These S.D. college boys filmed a very inspiration documentary that awakes the ‘save the children’ nerve in many people. For a select few however, the film motivates action because the situation warrants it. It is a silent reality slap to the face to see children go through a night’s commute into town to sleep, nested together like sardines for comfort and warmth, and awake in the morning to sing praises to God for a safe night. They are Catholic, which is probably the reason for their collective ‘stepchild’ treatment by all others around them. The filmmakers captured the story, going off a ‘lead’ from Colin Powell, and the nobility of the story captured them. They started a movement, founded an organization, and now have state/city chapters across the nation and in several countries. Progress has been made but there remains much to do. Now the second level kicks in.
Across the nation high schools have been showing the film and throwing fund raisers to help support the cause. Vista Murrieta held a showing this past November 16th and now word comes down that TVHS, or Temecula Valley High School has not only made Invisible Children a club project, having the film shown in February, but the teacher who heads up the project is going to Uganda for summer vacation. Maybe she’ll meet the lead singer from Chapter 14 who also ran off to join the project this year.
This film, this project, are a ‘noble’ cause. For a select few, nobility stirs action within an individual beyond just donating money. You feel you’ve got to leave some of your personal sweat on something righteous so when you face God on Judgment Day you can have one unselfish moment in your life you can be proud of.  (more on this breaking story as it becomes available – ed).
