TVHS JVEE’S WINS LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP 

Temecula, CA - The Valley’s own high school powerhouse, Temecula Valley High School, won the football league championship in the Junior Varsity division last night by defeating the Chaparral High School junior varsity squad 21-7. TVHS led by 7-0 the first half then scored two more touchdowns in the second. CHS was able to score only after TVHS put in their third string. TVHS is the only valley team to beat cross-town toughies Vista Murrieta High School (19-14) earlier in the season. Wednesday’s game also settled an old score with an abusive player, ‘Longest Yard’ style, by sending him to the lockers with a concussion. All three winning coaches were soaked at game’s end, leaving some students to shout ‘wet’ T-shirt contest’. Tonight the freshman and Varsity play at Chaparral so get to the game early and root for your favorite team. And remember, even if you aren’t a sports fan, you can still be an athletic supporter.
