WILL MTV PLAY DON HENLEY’S NEW VIDEO??

As the furor grows over the alledged hoax of 911 through the viewing of internet films like ‘Loose Change’ (see review on this site), the most famous musician so far to join the flay is the EAGLES’ Don Henley. Henley wrote the words to ‘Inside Job’, a song that tells of the neo-con ploy to overthrow this country’s freedoms through the use of orchestrated ‘terrorist acts’ on American soil. This song plays to video scenes supplied by websites like www.infowars.com, www.prisonplanet.com, www.tulsacantwait.com, and www.911blogger.com. Though many millions of people have neither seen nor heard of this alledged hoax, that may change if ‘word on the street’ is true about The History Channel’s proposed showing of ‘Loose Change’ on Monday, September 11, 2006. Meanwhile you can see and hear Don Henley’s ‘Inside Job’ on youtube. To see the video that started it, just google the words, ‘loose change’ and watch the ’second addition’. Given the current state of affairs, such as the ‘meth’ use among servicemen stationed in Iraq (which isn’t reported) and the crackdown on showing flag-draped coffins imposed by the Bush Admin, it behooves every American to understand the difference between patriot and idiot. Hitler said, “everyone will believe a lie, so make it a BIG lie.”

TVIFF TO HONOR ‘PRETTY WOMAN’ HOTEL MANAGER

Temecula, CA -  The 2006 Lifetime Achievement Award presented by the Temecula Valley International Film & Music Festival will be given to Hector Elizondo on Sunday, September 17 at a ‘black tie’ affair held here at Pechanga Resort & Casino. He will join music honoree Dionne Warwick at the celebration which will close out this year’s festival. Though Mr. Elizondo’s name is not a household word, his protrayal of a snootty grand Beverly Hills hotel manager who warms up to Richard Gere’s ‘Pretty Woman’, befriending her by the end of the film classic, is a study in character acting. It was once said, ‘there are no small parts, only small actors.’ In ‘Pretty Woman’, Mr. Elizondo took a small part and so illuminated it that his first appearance is as noticable as his last, whether it be a glance, a gesture, or the inflection in his voice. Each viewing of the movie only endears his character more to your heart, calling forth an emotional response from the viewer. He earned a Golden Globe nomination for this role. Originally hailing from the ‘Big Apple’ where his talent protraying ‘God’ in the stage production of ‘Steambath’ garnered him an Obie, he has received high praise for his Broadway work in ‘Prisoner Of Second Avenue’, ‘The Great White Hope’, ‘Sly Fox’ and ‘The Price’. Other film credits include, ‘The Princess Diaries’ (I & II), ‘Runaway Bride’, ‘American Gigolo’, and ‘Tortilla Soap’. Mr. Elizondo also received an Emmy for his role of Dr. Phillip Watters on TV’s ‘Chicago Hope’. He can be seen in the upcoming ‘Wrong Turn At Lungfish’. Further details of this and other events at the festival can be viewed at www.tviff.com or by calling 951.699.5514.
